signs of spring!

On our walk Thursday...

pussy willows,

the first rhododendrons blooming (they're always pink),

crocuses,

and the sun didn't set till after dinner!

  3. Oh,Violet, I can't believe you have a real spring, with such a short winter. We won't see that for at least six weeks, maybe more.

Looks great. Our mom used to gather pussywllows every spring and put them in a vase when we were kids growing up in New Hampshire.

  5. Julana, we'll have a bit more winter for sure. But the flowers seem to weather that just fine.

Paul - yes, pussy willows remind me of childhood too. One never forgets the soft, silky feel of them, together with that lovely name -- food for the imagination!
