I saw a little family of Canada geese paddling in a river - mother leading the way, 3 babies in between and father in the rear. I was on my way to a concert and didn't have time to stop for a picture. what a missed photo op!
The sound of coons - now that I haven't heard (I don't think). This one was out alone in broad daylight, washing something or fishing for something - and very tame. He just looked up coolly when we whistled to get his attention (so we could catch his cagey mask!)

Thanks Kathie! I don't remember a spring when we've seen more duck and goose families. They're having a good year!
Oooh, coons! We were startled awake by two coons fighting in the next campsite when we were in Utah. What an odd noise they make!
