could you do this with your books?

... Not sure I could. I've been using some oldies but goodies as quote fodder lately. And I don't need those bruises from kicking myself.

I couldn't go that far, but I'm aggressively not holding onto books after I've read them unless they're real keepers. Most of them I'll pass around and then give away.

And, yes, the library works really well in saving money and space issues in the first place!

What's harder is to cull the old ones that are already on the shelves. Because of them, most of my "keepers" are in stacks on the floor. But many on the shelves are not mine to dispose of...

In time, I'd like to pick up e-copies of my keepers, at least the novels, and ditch the hard copies. Non-fiction is tricky, because I mark in it and my e-reader doesn't have that feature.
